An exterior house painting warranty is essential for ensuring the longevity and durability of your paintwork. At Johnny’s Custom Painting, we go beyond just painting—we offer peace of mind with our comprehensive warranty options. Our warranties are designed to provide security and confidence in the quality of our workmanship.

Warranty Coverage

We offer the following warranty options:

  • Residential Exterior: 1-year (Basic), 2-year (Standard), or 3-year (Premium) warranty.

  • Commercial Exterior: 1-year warranty.

  • Residential Interior & Commercial Interior: 1-year warranty.

Peace of Mind with Our Limited Warranty

At Johnny’s Custom Painting Inc., we stand by our commitment to quality, providing customers with a worry-free property improvement experience. Our limited warranty ensures that our work meets high standards, offering additional peace of mind.

Johnny’s Custom Painting warrants that workmanship and materials will be free from defects in the affected area only, with no questions asked, for the duration of the warranty period starting from the date of completion. If the affected area is determined to have failed, Johnny’s Custom Painting will repair it at no charge as the sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of this warranty or defect in the coating. However, the cost of labor for applying any other product is expressly excluded.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

To make a valid warranty claim, you must:

  • Pay the full contract price.

  • Retain a copy of the original contract.

  • Provide proof of payment in full (such as a canceled check or receipt).

  • Pay for materials used in repairs.

  • Allow Johnny’s Custom Painting Inc. access to inspect and perform any necessary warranty work.

Depending on the type of project, Johnny’s Custom Painting Inc. will repair peeling, blistering, or chipping paint caused by defective workmanship for a period of up to three years for residential exteriors, one year for commercial exteriors, and one year for residential and commercial interiors, subject to the limitations outlined below.

Warranty Limitations & Exclusions

This limited warranty is the only express warranty provided by Johnny’s Custom Painting Inc. and is non-transferable. It covers only the original purchaser listed in the contract. We are not liable for incidental or consequential damages beyond the original contract price. This warranty cannot be altered or extended without a written agreement signed by all parties.

Warranty Conditions

  • Applies only if coatings are installed by Johnny’s Custom Painting Inc. or an authorized installer.

  • The property owner must notify Johnny’s Custom Painting Inc. in writing within 30 days of noticing an issue.

  • The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original property owner.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Work where Johnny’s Custom Painting did not supply materials.

  • Work not performed by Johnny’s Custom Painting.

  • Varnished surfaces.

  • Stains surfaces

  • Surfaces containing galvanized metal.

  • Paint required for repairs.

  • Horizontal surfaces or moisture-prone areas (e.g., decks, railings, stairs, porches, roofs, wood, gutters).

  • Exact color matching (environmental factors cause fading over time).

  • Defects in the paint itself (regardless of supplier).

  • Bleeding from knots, rust, or cedar.

  • Cracks in drywall, plaster, or wood.

  • Peeling due to:

    • Pre-existing paint layers

    • Structural defects

    • Settling or movement

    • High moisture content

    • Mechanical damage, abuse, or cleaning agents

    • Fire, flood, extreme weather, vandalism, or other uncontrollable events

Additional Limitations

  • This warranty does not cover damage from natural wear and tear, corrosion, vandalism, water damage, efflorescence, fire, or smoke.

  • Repairs under this warranty apply only to affected areas where peeling, blistering, or chipping has occurred due to defective workmanship.
